Soy candles hand-poured in New Jersey
The minute I walk in my front door, before I even take off my enormous winter coat and fuzzy beanie, I head straight to my (very impressive and ever growing) candle stash to light an aroma that matches the season. Holidays? Winter Spice. Fall? Pumpkin Souffle. You get the gist! I’m a sucker for delicious smelling candles.
What is your go-to candle company? Yes, I have a handful of Yankee Candle classics, but this small business out of Short Hills, NJ is what makes my heart flutter – Birch House Candles, it’s me Cassie, your biggest fan!
Emily, the fabulous Birch House Candle shop owner, is a downright boss lady. She hand pours all of her soy, eco-friendly candles from her own home, that have phthalate-free fragrances and cotton core wicks!
(Do you recall my passion for clean products? Are you catching on why I absolutely love these glass jars of goodness). She creates a handful of different scents that compliment each season from coastal beachyscents to fruity & fun aromas – I actually just won the Winter Spice candle on her most recent Instagram giveaway and I could not contain my excitement… literally though – go follow her on the gram and you’ll see how pumped I was! Maybe you’ll be the next giveaway winner …
Are you hooked? Let’s get down to business, it’s time to shop – Birch House Candles come in two sizes, 8 oz travel tin and the 11.5 oz glass jar. And the packaging? It’s gorgeous! Simple, yet elegant and I love that included with each candle is candle care tips on the bottom of the package. I sure didn’t know that the first time you burn a candle, you should allow the wax pool to fully reach the edge of the container .. did you?
Cassie Says…these candles are the perfect gift for family, friends or yourself! I’ve gifted these beauties to so many people during the holidays and they absolutely LOVED them. It’s refreshing to know you are getting a candle that is a smart choice for the environment and your home + you’re supporting a small business which is the cherry on top!
OH and the most exciting news about Birch House Candles is that the candles are now on the shelves at Boll & Branch at the Short Hills Mall. Talk about a killer partnership! Congrats Emily – you are AMAZING!
